💔 Why This Matters

Pregnancy and infant loss affects far more families than most people realize:

🕯️ 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.
👣 1 in 160 pregnancies ends in stillbirth each year in the United States.
💞 Nearly 24,000 babies are stillborn in the U.S. annually — that’s about 65 families every single day.
🌎 Around the world, millions of families quietly navigate this pain with limited support and few resources after leaving the hospital.

Behind each statistic is a family — a mother, father, grandparent, or sibling — trying to find healing in a world that doesn’t always know how to talk about loss.
That’s why Jordyn’s Light exists — to bring comfort, connection, and compassion to families who need it most. 🌸

Jordyn’s Light Inc. was established in May 2024 and is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Our mission is to provide compassion, resources, and healing for families coping with pregnancy and infant loss — through memory boxes, support programs, community events, and awareness initiatives that bring families together to heal and honor their babies.

The Jordyn’s Light Virtual Walk begins on October 15, 2025 (Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day) and continues through August 20, 2026 — leading up to our 3rd Annual Jordyn’s Light Family Fun Day & Raffle Extravaganza.
Every step between those dates carries love forward in honor of the babies gone too soon.

Funds raised through this event will go toward:

• Memory Boxes & Keepsakes — purchasing equipment and supplies to create personalized, handcrafted memory boxes for grieving families.

• Hospital Literature & Resources — producing printed grief support guides and family resource booklets for hospitals to share with families.

• In-House Merchandise & Keepsake Production

  In-House Merchandise & Keepsake Production supports the establishment and growth of the Jordyn’s Light Shop — allowing us to create awareness apparel, memorial items, and personalized keepsakes entirely in-house. This initiative helps sustain our nonprofit year-round while ensuring families receive meaningful, handcrafted items created with care and intention.

  Funds raised toward this initiative support the purchase of essential equipment, including:

  • Laser cutters for engraving memorial items, ornaments, signage, and keepsakes

  • Printers for letters, remembrance cards, educational materials, and resource guides

  • Heat presses for awareness apparel and custom items

  • Embroidery equipment for personalized apparel, memorial pieces, and special projects

  This equipment will also allow us to:

  • Create personalized memory boxes for grieving families

  • Produce custom ornaments and keepsakes for anniversaries and remembrance dates

  • Print and assemble handwritten-style letters and outreach materials sent to families throughout the year

  • Reduce long-term production costs by bringing all creation in-house

  • Maintain consistency, quality, and care across all Jordyn’s Light materials

  By investing in in-house production, Jordyn’s Light is able to grow sustainably, respond quickly to family needs, and ensure every item shared reflects the love, dignity, and remembrance at the heart of our mission.

• Burial, Cremation & Comforting Touch Funds — providing emergency assistance and comfort-based supports for families in crisis.

• Community Awareness & Events — funding vending opportunities, awareness materials, and marketing that help us reach more families.

• Ongoing Family Touchpoints — sending handwritten notes, anniversary remembrance cards, and small keepsakes to loss families so they feel remembered, supported, and never forgotten beyond the initial days of loss.

• Monthly Operating Costs — covering the everyday expenses needed to run the nonprofit, including supplies, technology, shipping, and outreach.

Every donation — big or small — creates a ripple that reaches a family who needs comfort, connection, and hope. 💜

Jordyn’s Light is a new and growing nonprofit — and this walk is a vital step toward getting fully equipped and sustainable for the future.

🌸 $25,000 – Foundation Phase

• Purchase supplies and materials for personalized memory boxes and keepsakes.

• Fund the first round of printed hospital literature and family resource packets.

• Begin awareness and marketing production.

• Support the opening of the Jordyn’s Light Healing Space, set to open on Bereaved Mothers Day, May 3rd, 2026 — a small, intimate space for in-person and virtual support groups.

• Fund virtual support group platforms so families can connect from anywhere.

• Cover initial administrative and operational costs.

Impact: Reaching families with comfort, education, and early connection through the foundation of our Healing Space.

🌿 $50,000 – Growth & Setup Phase

• Launch the Jordyn’s Light Shop for in-house merchandise and keepsake production.

• Purchase key equipment — embroidery machine, laser cutter, printers, and packaging tools.

• Complete a full office setup for production and operations.

• Begin funding the Burial, Cremation & Comforting Touch Fund.

• Expand hospital literature distribution across Western New York and beyond.

Impact: Building a self-sustaining organization ready to serve more families and reduce costs through in-house production.

💞 $75,000 – Expansion & Program Development Phase

• Expand support group offerings and fund group counseling and healing arts programs.

• Develop Sibling Support Initiatives and family-centered workshops.

• Fund ongoing community events and awareness campaigns.

• Strengthen the Jordyn’s Light Shop for year-round sustainability.

• Fully equip the Healing Space for hybrid gatherings.

• Create The Jordyn’s Light Library — a small, comforting section within the Healing Space offering a curated selection of books that can be borrowed by parents, siblings, grandparents, and caregivers on grief, trauma, and healing.

• Build long-term sustainability and reserve funds for 2026 and beyond.

Impact: Transforming Jordyn’s Light into a fully developed, lasting source of healing and hope. 🌿

💬 A Personal Message from Angela Jessie, Founder of Jordyn’s Light

When I created Jordyn’s Light, it was born from the deepest pain of my life — the loss of my daughter, Jordyn.
What began as a way to honor her has grown into something far bigger: a mission to make sure no family has to walk this path alone.

This virtual walk represents more than fundraising. It represents love, remembrance, and community. Every donation, every mile, every shared story helps us build something beautiful out of heartbreak — from personalized memory boxes to a Healing Space where families can gather, breathe, and heal.
