Our Mission | Our Vision | Our Goals

"At Jordyn’s Light, my mission is to provide unwavering support to families navigating the difficult journey of pregnancy and infant loss. Established in memory of my daughter Jordyn Lee Whitt, our foundation is dedicated to offering empathetic assistance and resources to families confronting this profound loss. Our array of programs, such as complimentary or reduced-cost grief massages, personalized memory boxes, support groups, aid with burial, cremation or urn expenses, and engagement in community outreach, aim to create a nurturing environment for healing and solace. By honoring Jordyn and all angel babies, we strive to empower families, fostering strength, solace, and resilience on their path to healing."

No family should have to endure the pain of loss alone.

Our Goals

Greetings, I have devoted considerable time to developing my vision for my nonprofit organization, a process that has been a personal journey shared solely between myself and God. Over the past couple of years, I have felt a calling to create something meaningful not only in memory of my cherished Jordyn but also to extend support to other families navigating through challenging times. The passage of time has underscored the profound impact of loss, a realization that unfolds gradually. My primary aim is to ensure that our beloved children are commemorated, revered, and that we receive the essential support on our path to healing. My aspiration is to establish a nurturing environment where we can gather, share our emotions, find solace, and access the necessary tools for coping.

Through this journey, I have come to understand that assisting others is a significant part of my healing process amidst grief. Over a year ago, I began offering grief massage tailored for mothers navigating the challenges of pregnancy and infant loss. It has been my aspiration for the past couple of years to create this space and also tie in massage therapy into the resources available through the nonprofit.

Tragically, instances of pregnancy and infant loss will occur, and families enduring such grief require empathetic support from those who comprehend their journey. This is the core mission of Jordyn's Light: to offer solace and understanding to families experiencing this profound loss.

At the core, we are a collective seeking a secure environment to commemorate and honor our little ones alongside individuals who understand the profound significance of such moments.

Navigating the challenging path of grief frequently brings forth feelings of isolation, emphasizing the importance of a supportive community or resources. It's worth noting that there are other exceptional organizations and support groups in Western New York that can assist you on your journey toward healing as well.

Here is a comprehensive list outlining the support services that Jordyn's Light aims to provide for families navigating pregnancy and infant loss.

Everything shared above reflects the vision I had when I first created Jordyn’s Light in 2024.

Now, in 2026, I’m in a different place with it.

I’ve had to be real with myself about what it looks like to build something like this with little to no funding, and very limited donations. The vision is still there—every part of it—but right now, I’m focusing on what I can actually bring to life with what I have.

Instead of trying to do everything at once, I’m pouring into the pieces that are within reach right now.

That looks like creating small, intimate support groups right in my office space—safe, quiet spaces where people can come together, talk, sit in their feelings, and not feel alone in this.

It looks like continuing to build the Jordyn’s Light library. We’ve already had books donated, and people have started checking them out, which means more than I can explain. It’s small, but it’s something real.

It looks like starting our candle line—something meaningful, something that can bring comfort, something that represents light in a way people can physically hold onto.

And it also looks like working toward getting the supplies and equipment I need for sublimation and heat pressing, so I can create memory bears that can be donated to hospitals and included in care packages for families experiencing loss.

These are the goals right now.

The bigger vision hasn’t gone anywhere. I still believe in every part of it. I still see what Jordyn’s Light can become.

But for now, I’m building it step by step, with what I have, and trusting that it will grow into everything it’s meant to be.
